Amp Pro: The most complete Amp we produce.
It's ment to be placed in your main listening spot & can power high quality passive speakers. The computing power is enough to be your main Beatnik Server as well as to handle complex DSP Tasks, as Room Corretion Filters.
Based on Hifiberry 🇨🇭 Amp4 Pro
Our prefered amplifier HAT. The HiFiBerry Amp4 Pro is a DAC/amplifier combination for all Raspberry Pi models featuring a 40-pin GPIO header. Why we like it:
- Stereo DAC with sample rates up to 192kHz/24bit
- Dual domain clock circuit for optimal audio clock generation
- Up to 2x30W output power
Combined with Raspberry Pi 4B
Our prefered Single Board Computer (SBC). Why we like it:
- Good temperature management (get's lees warm the pi 5)
- 2 GB RAM is enought for 99.9% of audio streaming requirements (but up to 8GB)
- Needs lees power than Pi 5
Unibody Aluminium Case
Cut from one Aluminium Brick this is the fanciest case we currently produce. It's overkill and pretty unreasonable (eg. amount of holes). But we think nice hardware deserves a nice case. Also it has some decent thermal properties.
M8 Binding Posts and premium connectors
As unreansobable as the case are the binding post & internal cables. While others use small binding posts on amps we prefer the big ones. They're compatible with a large variety of banana plugs. (Also they look & feel nicer.)
A High Endurance SD Card
SD Card matters. That's why we recommend to not save money on sd card quality. Most of Music streaming happens over you RAM not the SD-Card. But having a good SD-Card improves the general stability of your system as well as reduces boot times of your devices. The san disk high endurance SD card is ment for 4K Video recording. So should last a while.
