By accessing our website and placing an order, you agree to be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our site.

Beatnik is a registered trademark and product brand owned by Byrds & Bytes GmbH, located at Mittelstrasse 61, 3012 Bern, Switzerland. Our official website, beatnik.audio, is operated by Byrds & Bytes GmbH.

We ship all orders from Switzerland via Priority Mail. Please be aware that international customs processing can cause unexpected delays, meaning we cannot guarantee exact delivery dates.

Because Byrds & Bytes GmbH is based in Switzerland, the prices displayed in our web shop do not include Value Added Tax (VAT) for deliveries outside of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. As the importer, you are responsible for paying any applicable local VAT, customs duties, tariffs, and handling fees required by your country. Please consult your local customs office for estimated import costs.

We are legally required to accurately declare the value and contents of every package. We will not mark items as "gifts" or undervalue orders on customs forms.

If a package is refused at customs and returned to us, we will issue a partial refund. We will deduct the original shipping costs and any additional return fees from your refund amount.

Once an order is submitted, it immediately enters our automated fulfillment system and generally cannot be modified or canceled. We are also unable to manually add or remove items from processed orders. Please review your cart carefully before completing your purchase.

We stand behind our products. If you are not completely satisfied with the sound quality of your Beatnik hardware, you may return assembled devices within 3 months of receipt under our money-back guarantee. All other products (including DIY kits) can be returned within 30 days of receipt.

Important Exception: We cannot accept returns for any hardware that has been altered in any way. If a board has been soldered, it cannot be returned.

For items like enclosures and accessories, returns are only accepted if the products remain completely unopened. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. We also do not refund import taxes or customs fees paid to your local government.

We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and international bank transfers. Your chosen payment method will be charged at the time the order is placed. To protect against fraud, we reserve the right to request further verification before processing certain transactions.

For troubleshooting, please consult our documentation and knowledge base first. If you need further assistance, our community forum is a great resource for fast solutions from other users. For specific hardware defects or order inquiries, please email us directly at hello@beatnik.audio.

Our hardware is designed to integrate with various third-party and open-source software solutions. However, we cannot guarantee compatibility with every update or release of external software. While we provide basic configuration guides, we cannot offer dedicated technical support for third-party bugs. Please reach out to the respective software developers for those specific issues.

We collect your name, email, phone number, shipping, and billing addresses solely to process your orders and communicate with you about your purchases. For your security, we do not store credit card numbers, expiration dates, or CVV codes on our servers. We respect your privacy and will never sell your personal data to third parties. If you receive promotional emails from us, you can easily opt out at any time.

Our website may contain links to external, third-party websites. We have no control over their content and are not responsible for their materials or privacy practices. Visiting these external links is done at your own risk.

We strive to keep the information on beatnik.audio accurate and up to date. However, due to continuous product development, we cannot guarantee that all product descriptions or documentation are entirely flawless or current at all times.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Byrds & Bytes GmbH, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your failure to comply with these terms or your misuse of our products.

Beatnik products are covered against manufacturing defects for two (2) years from the date of delivery. We will repair or replace any verified defective hardware. To initiate a warranty claim, please contact hello@beatnik.audio and arrange for the item to be returned to us.

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse, or abuse. Because our boards are designed for solder-free use, applying solder to any part of the board immediately voids this warranty.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED ABOVE, ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." BYRDS & BYTES GMBH DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PRODUCTS WILL OPERATE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTIES RELATED TO THIRD-PARTY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OR SOFTWARE USED WITH OUR PRODUCTS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BYRDS & BYTES GMBH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OUR PRODUCTS, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR REVENUE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
