Closed Test Instructions 1

Test Goals for the first test circle:

  • Test Shipping 
  • Test Setup Process (Pi & App)
  • Test App UX 

1. Package arrival

  • Please take a picture of the closed package, before opening it (customs stickers, is it opened by customs, how bad does the box look)

2. Unboxing

  1. Please take some pictures while unboxing. I would like to know if the things moved or o not.


  2. If there are damages, please also document with pictures.


  3. Is it complete? You should have a beatnik B-Amp, a localized Power supply & banna plugs in the package.

3. Setup

  1. Download the App for iOS or Android

  2. Plug in your Speakers to the binding posts of your beatnik amp. (Best using bannana plugs) 

  3. Plug In the USB-C power supply to your Beatnik (and wait for it to boot)

  4. As soon as it’s booted hold down the button for 5 sec, your Amp will start to pulse blue

  5. Press the „+“ in the app to start adding a device

  6. Follow the instructions in the app

4.Streaming (Usage)

  1. You should now see Beatnik-Airplay 1 & 2 on your iOS/MacOS Devices. (In any App). If your using Spotify you should now see „Beatnik-Spotify“ in your Spotify app.



  2. Start a stream of your choice, and assign it to your speakers

That’s it. Your server should be working and you should be able to listen to your streams. 🎈
